Kayla Lee talks about how the Broad Summer Research Program taught her interdisciplinary research

Kayla Lee builds strategic partnerships and alliances as a product manager with IBM Quantum. She is a 2012 alum of the Broad Summer Research Program (BSRP) and says that her time at Broad accelerated her career development and put her on a track that led to her current position in a quantitative, interdisciplinary field.

“Having interactions with computer scientists, mathematicians, and physicists at the Broad really primed me for what it looks like to be in an interdisciplinary science space.”

BSRP is an intensive nine-week summer research program at Broad designed for undergraduates with a commitment to biomedical research and an interest in genomics.
