BroadE: Encode Data Goals, assays, and use cases

The presentation below was filmed during the May 2020 ENCODE Data Utilization workshop, part of the BroadE Workshop series.

The ENCODE project is building a comprehensive parts list of functional elements in the human genome, and mapping the regulatory mechanisms that control gene expression. ENCODE consists of ~15,000 curated datasets, and continues to grow.

In this video, leaders from the NHGRI (National Human Genome Research Institute) give an overview of the types of datasets available on the Encode portal.
