Abstract: Generative models can potentially expand researchers’ creativity while balancing complex tradeoffs. I will illustrate this with applications of generative AI to design experimentally validated novel antibiotics, cancer clinical trials and synthetic spatial omics data. I will also discuss ongoing challenges with generative AI relating to amplifying human biases.
