Sharing data and tools to enable discovery
By sharing openly, we can help accelerate research everywhere. At the Broad Institute, scientists make discoveries, data, tools, technologies, and knowledge freely available. We work with industry partners to ensure these innovations benefit patients. Learn more about #HowWeScience.
Creating tools to generate data insights
Building open and scalable data-science tools to advance biomedical research
Advanced genome sequencing technology lets researchers produce massive amounts of high-quality data at low cost. But that is only the beginning. To help generate new insights on disease, researchers at the Broad Institute have also developed advanced methods to process, analyze, and widely share that data. Engineers and data scientists at the Broad are creating the infrastructure to store, share, and analyze genomic and clinical data at unlimited scale. They are also building applications that extract all available information from raw data; portals and other user interfaces that engage researchers, clinicians, and patients; and tools to process large volumes of raw genome sequencing data into useful forms.
