Carmen Diaz Verdugo, Ph.D.
Computational Scientist II
Carmen Diaz Verdugo is a computational scientist II in the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative and Precision Cardiology Lab of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She joined in 2021, and focuses on computational methods for analysing high content imaging assays and interpreting the results.
Prior to joining the Broad Institute, she did her postdoctoral training at Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research in the data science department.
Diaz Verdugo holds a double Ph.D. in systems neuroscience from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, and a B.S./M.S. in electrical engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain.
