Bridget Simonson

Bridget Simonson is a senior research scientist I/group leader in the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative (CVDi) at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In January 2020, she joined the Precision Cardiology lab in the CVDi, where she is working on identifying new therapeutic targets for cardiovascular disease.

Simonson obtained her Ph.D. from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in Bronwyn Kivell’s neurobiology lab. She then moved to Boston to be part of Saumya Das’s lab at Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital, where she studied the role of autophagy in the heart.
