Brian Cleary, Ph.D.

Brian Cleary

Brian Cleary is a Broad Fellow and a Merkin Institute Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He is developing new, highly efficient experimental methods, paired with computational approaches, to measure and perturb genes. He plans to apply these methods to better understand tissue physiology at a molecular level, explore cellular pathways and combinatorial genetic interactions, and integrate these areas of knowledge with the study of human genetics. He will be collaborating with the Cell Circuits Program and the Models, Inference, & Algorithms Initiative.

Brian received his Ph.D. in computational and systems biology from MIT. He also holds a B.S. in biology and a B.S. in business, economics, and management, both from the California Institute of Technology.
