Phylo is an applied AI research lab spun out of the Biomni project at the Stanford AI Lab. They are the creators of Biomni Lab, the first Integrated Biology Environment, an AI-native workspace where scientists can orchestrate agents across hundreds of biomedical databases and tools to go from a natural-language question to rigorous scientific analysis.
In this hands-on workshop, attendees will get experience running end-to-end drug discovery workflows with agents and see how an agent compresses multi-day analyses into minutes — leaving with approaches they can adapt to their own programs.
Presenters Kexin Huang is the Co-founder and CEO of Phylo, a research lab focused on advancing agentic biology. Previously, he was a PhD student in Computer Science at Stanford University advised by Prof. Jure Leskovec, where his research centered on applying AI to enable deployable and interpretable biomedical discoveries while addressing core challenges in multimodal modeling, uncertainty quantification, and agentic reasoning.
Greg Minevich is a founding member of technical staff at Phylo, where he builds agentic enterprise applications for pharma R&D—target prioritization, portfolio management, indication expansion—and develops scientific pipelines encoding domain expertise for biomedical databases and tools. He brings experience bridging wet lab biology, production ML/AI, and pharma R&D, with prior roles building AI solutions for top pharma at CytoReason and leading computational target discovery and gene therapy efforts at Alector.
Tommer Schwarz is a member of technical staff at Phylo. Previously, he spent several years in biotech industry working on method development and research, partnering with pharma companies on their drug programs. Tommer holds a PhD in bioinformatics from UCLA, where he was focused on developing computational approaches to studying complex traits in human genetics.
