Thouis Jones

Thouis “Ray” Jones is a senior computational scientist working on transcription factor binding and gene regulation. He was a cofounder of the CellProfiler project whose research interests include understanding mechanisms of gene regulation and automatic image analysis for high-throughput cell imaging systems.

Having previously worked in the Broad Institute’s Imaging Platform as a computational biologist, Jones rejoined the Broad Institute in January 2016 in his current post.

Jones received his Sc.D. in computer science from MIT and undertook postdoctoral research at the Institut Curie’s Biophenics Platform. Contact Thouis “Ray” Jones via email at
