Rays Jiang, Ph.D.
Rays Jiang is a research scientist working at the genome biology platform at the Broad Institute. Her work focuses on genetics and evolution of pathogenic microbes, in particular the destructive Phytophthora species.
Rays joined the Broad Institute after her postdoctoral work at the Virginia Bioinformatics institute and at Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
She earned her Ph.D in genomics and plant pathology at Wageningen University, using both comparative genomics and experimental approaches to analyze the flexible genomes and intriguing weaponries of pathogens.
