Qin Huang, Ph.D.
Research Scientist
Qin Huang is a research scientist on the vector engineering team in the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, working under the direction of Ben Deverman. Huang has a decade of research experience in molecular cancer biology and hands-on assay development and validation with directed evolution of adeno-associated virus, high-throughput screening for drug discovery, and next-generation sequencing, as well as molecular and cell biology.
Huang joined the Broad Institute in May 2018 from a position at Caltech. Prior to that, she worked briefly in industry following her postdoctoral studies in oncology and cancer biology at the University of Iowa. She holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China.
