Maura Hofstadter

Maura Hofstadter is the director of the Office of Academic Affairs at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In this role, she works directly with the chair of the faculty to strategically oversee academic matters at the Broad, and leads the Office of Academic Affairs, which serves Broad faculty and trainees.

Prior to joining the Broad, Hofstadter served as the executive director for faculty affairs at the Steinhardt School at New York University. Before that, she spent more than 15 years assisting faculty in various ways at the University of California, Irvine, including in the biomedical research space. Having played a number of leadership roles, Hofstadter has considerable experience in long- and short-term planning, creative problem solving, and faculty and staff development. 

Hofstadter earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
