Lindsey Erion-Barner

Lindsey Erion-Barner leads development of imaging-based spatial transcriptomics and proteomic profiling technology within the Spatial Technology Platform at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Erion-Barner leads a sub-group within the platform that focuses on developing novel approaches for efficient imaging transcriptomics in three dimensions, as well as using next-generation spatial transcriptomics for understanding psychiatric diseases. She specializes in optical microscopy techniques and hardware development.

Erion-Barner joined the Broad Institute in June 2023 after completing postdoctoral training at the University of Washington and the Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics, where she developed novel light sheet microscopy approaches for 3D pathology and cancer diagnostics. She holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington.
