Danielle Ciofani
Senior Director of Data Strategy and Partnerships in the Data Sciences Platform
Danielle Ciofani is the senior director of data strategy and partnerships in the Data Sciences Platform (DSP) at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Ciofani oversees the team responsible for bringing together the intersection of scientific projects and technical infrastructure, ensuring the DSP's software and machine learning tools successfully support hundreds of scientific projects and collaborations worldwide.
Ciofani’s experience facilitating successful collaborations stems from numerous roles serving healthcare provider, insurance, and life sciences organizations. Prior to her work in DSP, Ciofani was a data strategist and clinical informaticist at Optum (UnitedHealth Group). There, she designed, built, and grew the largest integrated real-world database (RWD) of clinical and claims data. Prior to this, she served as a technical architect in interface and interoperability design for large healthcare provider systems.
Danielle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University (Ohio).
