Annika Weimer, Ph.D.
Director, Strategic Operations, Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Genomic Mechanisms of Disease
Annika Weimer is the director of strategic operations for the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Genomic Mechanisms of Disease at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In this role, she oversees scientific and strategic operations at the center and integrates activities across a complex portfolio of projects, in addition to ensuring the success of the center’s strategic alliances.
Previously, Weimer worked in program management at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she managed large-scale NIH-funded projects. She conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University and at VIB/Ghent University.
Weimer earned her Ph.D. in biology from the University of Cologne, Germany, and CNRS, Strasbourg, France. She earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in biology, German philology, and pedagogy from the University of Cologne, Germany.
