To set (or reset) the image sequence number on a canon s110 camera
(and probably the s100 and other canon cameras) (for example, when
getting a new camera):
- Take a picture.
- Download the picture with your favorite tool (I like s10sh).
- Make a DCIM/XXXCANON directory on the card, where XXX is the directory
number you left off at. Note that the start directory is 100CANON.
Note that images will be numbered as XXYY, where XX are the last two
digits of the number in the directory.
- Upload the image to DCIM/XXXCANON/IMG_XX01.JPG
The next picture the camera will take will be
DCIM/XXXCANON/IMG_XX02.JPG. (I don't know how having "image number
reset" on will affect this.)
I don't think anything has to be done to the CANONMSC files.
