Home I direct a group of computer scientists, statisticians, and biologists in the Broad Institute's Imaging Platform. We help researchers in the Broad Institute community and worldwide to extract the richest information possible from biological images, particularly microscopy images from high-throughput experiments. To accomplish this, we develop image analysis and data exploration methods and software that are open-source and freely available to the public. We are also researching the use of cell image data as a readout of cellular state in order to gain a systems-level view of cellular functions. Thouis R. Jones is my primary colleague in this work. Our tool for high-throughput cell image analysis is CellProfiler. Our tool for high-dimensional data exploration and analysis is CellProfiler Analyst.
