The Chemical Biology and Novel Therapeutics Platforms have been established at the Broad Institute to accomplish two goals: (1) discover small molecules that impact biology and medicine; and (2) innovate the process through which probes and drugs are discovered and developed. To accomplish these goals effectively, we plan to undertake the most innovative chemical biology screening projects arising from the broader scientific community.

Paul Ferraiolo heads software development for the Broad Chemical Biology group. He leads a team of senior software engineers and architects developing an informatics platform which integrates chemical, biological, and genomic data used across a wide variety of research initiatives.

Paul Clemons is a chemical biology fellow in the Chemical Biology program at the Broad Institute. His work involves basic research in chemical genetics, including multidimensional screening and data analysis, and cheminformatics, including relating chemical
structure to biological outcomes resulting from screening activities.

Scott Eliasof is the director of the Chemical Biology platform at the Broad Institute. This platform develops and uses new and existing technologies to harness the power of synthetic chemistry to discover and elucidate molecular pathways fundamental to cell and disease biology.

Dave DeCaprio is the manager of annotation informatics for the Genome Analysis program at the Broad Institute. He is responsible for managing all software development for manual and automated genome annotation.
