Chemical Biology: Young Group
Our group focuses on the assembly of a small-molecule screening collection that will enable biological discovery. Through the development of novel and concise synthesis pathways, we aim to create structurally diverse small molecules with useful biological properties. We are also interested in the development of new methodologies that further expand the ability of synthetic chemists to create small-molecule libraries. This includes working with the cheminformatics group to better inform our synthetic decision-making process.
Consisting of staff scientists, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and trainees, our group is largely supported by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) Centers of Excellence in Chemical Methodology and Library Development program.
