Illumina iSelect Custom Genotyping

Illumina offers iSelect custom BeadChips if their standard array offerings are not appropriate for a particular research project. A research group may want to use a custom array if they are focusing on a particular genomic region of interest, studying a species other than human, or targeting a particular disease pathway or interest in rare variants. The iSelect platform allows researchers to design a custom assay while taking advantage of standard Infinium products and workflow.

GAP offers access to previously designed iSelect standard panel arrays such as “Metabochip” and “Immunochip.” GAP is also now offering genotyping on the recently released "Exome Array".

Arrays available

iSelect allows you to interrogate either 12 or 24 samples at one time and up to 200,000 custom SNPs on one array. Illumina's price per chip is on a sliding scale determined by the number of samples. NOTE: After final SNP list is submitted, manufacturing of the array can take 8-12 weeks.
