Retreat 2014

Throughout this year, we’re reflecting on the amazing achievements made during the Broad Institute’s first decade. Join us at this year’s scientific retreat, and see just how far we’ve come since the first one. Help us celebrate the remarkable work underway at the Broad, connect with Broad colleagues, and learn about the scientific discoveries and advances being made throughout our community.

The Tenth Annual Broad Retreat will be held November 17–18, 2014 at the Hynes Convention Center. The two-day retreat will feature short talks, breakout sessions, and the opportunity to meet and exchange information with your Broad colleagues away from the pressures of labs, offices, and regular meeting schedules.

The retreat is FREE and open to Broad staff, affiliates, associate members, and members of their labs.

The 2014 Broad Retreat agenda will be posted in early November.

Shuttle service, public transportation, and parking information.

Last year, the Retreat Planning Committee selected 34 talks to be presented at the 2013 retreat, including selected talks nominated by the Broad community. Details about this year's selection process will be posted when they are available.

Be a part of what surely will be the most exciting Broad Retreat (November 17-18) yet by sharing your science! Here’s your chance to get feedback and recognition from fellow Broadies at the Broad Retreat Poster Session. We’ll be at the Hynes Convention Center, a venue so spacious that posters will remain up for the entire retreat!

The formal poster session will be on the first day, and, similar to last year, it will be an afternoon of fun, science, and friendly competition. Attendees will have the opportunity to nominate outstanding posters at that session, which judges will view on the second day. Selected posters will be announced during the award ceremony at the end of the retreat. Bring your science to Hynes!

Registration for the poster session begins September 15th and ends October 24th. We have room for everyone who wants to present, but you MUST REGISTER in order to present a poster. Please spread the word.

If you have yet to submit your poster title and authors, please email Joana Brenckle by October 24, 5:00PM (EST).
