Retreat 2013

Did you attend the retreat? Give us your feedback! Take the 2013 Broad Retreat Survey.

The Ninth Annual Broad Retreat will be held November 12 – 13 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School.

As in past years, the 2013 retreat is an opportunity to learn about the scientific work that is underway throughout the Broad community. It is also a chance to meet and mingle with your fellow Broad colleagues, whether they work across the cubicle or across the river.

The retreat is FREE and open to Broad staff, affiliates, associate members and their labs.

Please note that registration has closed for the 2013 retreat.

The two-day Broad Retreat will feature short talks, breakout sessions, and the opportunity to meet and exchange information with your Broad colleagues away from the pressures of labs, offices and regular meeting schedules.

This year, the Retreat Planning Committee has made a couple of exciting changes to the format. More information about these enhancements is provided below.

The Retreat Planning Committee has selected 34 talks to be presented at this year's retreat, including selected talks nominated by the Broad community.

In lieu of poster sessions at the retreat, we hosted three poster sessions in the weeks prior to the conference. The new Broad Retreat Poster Series gave Broadies the opportunity to present their work in the 7CC lobby.

QR (Quick Response) Code Reader

We are incorporating QR codes at the retreat to allow attendees ready access to information right from a smart phone. You will need to download a QR Code Reader to be able to scan the code and be directed to a website. QRDroid for Android Phones and Google Goggles for iPhone are two popular, free reader apps.

Remote Broadcast

A live remote broadcast of all retreat talks will be available in the Nile Conference room at 301 Binney.
