Paul de Bakker

I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Genetics at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Member of the Broad Institute.

My research concentrates on the characterization of genetic variation in human populations and the development of analysis tools to study the role of sequence variation in complex diseases. In a diverse set of disease areas including HIV/AIDS, autoimmune and cardiovascular disease, we have leadership roles in the analysis of ongoing genomic studies.
