IGV Quick Start

This 10-minute tutorial introduces you to the Integrative Genomics Viewer (IGV) by providing step-by-step instructions for loading and visualizing gene expression and SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) copy number data.

The tutorial uses segmented copy-number and gene expression data from Beroukhim et al. (2007). The paper describes a method, Genomic Identification of Significant Targets in Cancer (GISTIC), for identifying significant chromosomal aberrations and applies that method to a collection of 141 glioma samples.
