Kiran Garimella

Kiran Garimella joined the Broad Institute as a Computational Biologist in November, 2007. His focus has been algorithmic development and analysis for next-generation sequencing data. He is Team Leader for the Analysis group.
Prior to joining the Broad, Kiran spent a year at the MGH Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging working on algorithms for infarct detection from contrast MRI data of stroke victims. And before that, he was a graduate student studying neutrino astrophysics.
Kiran holds an M.S. in Physics from Clemson University (2006) and a B.S. in Physics from Umass Amherst (2004).
