The species in this category have all had their genomes sequenced in the laboratory and assembled by Arachne. Some of them have been released to NCBI as draft genomes. Each species' genome is unique and poses special challenges to the assembler; the challenge of assembling new species has been a major impetus to the continued expansion and improvement of the Arachne code package.
