GeneCluster

Download GeneCluster

  • Windows version (95, 98, NT)
    • Full download (Windows native GeneCluster.exe, supporting libraries, and datasets)
    • Windows Application (.exe file) only (The most recent application. This is also contained in the full download.)
    • You may need a recent version of WinZip to extract the files. The files are password protected.
  • Macintosh Version
    • First, download and install the MRJ.
    • Hold down the option key while clicking on Mac Version of GeneCluster to download the application to your machine.
    • You may need a recent version of Stuffit Expander to extract the files. The files are password protected.
Note: If you are using a Mac and wish to force a file to be downloaded rather than interpreted as a text file, do the following:
    • Hold down the Option/alt button while clicking on the link to the Mac version of GeneCluster.
    • A save file dialog box should appear.
    • After saving the file, use Stuffit Expander to create the self-extracting-file Vitamine.sea.
    • Double click on the Vitamine.sea file to extract the contents to a folder.
  • Other platforms (not for beginners)
    • Theoretically the java class files should run on any platform with a java runtime environment.
    • Class Files: invoke with 'jre StartApp' (make sure the current directory is in CLASSPATH)
    • You may need to download the java runtime.
  • Sample datasets only (Again, these are also included in the full downloads.)

GeneCluster applications are described in Cancer Program publications . The current Java version was engineered by Keith Ohm, Aravind Subramanian, and Michael Angelo.

For a detailed illustration of the use of GeneCluster please see GeneCluster mini-tutorial: clustering the HL60 myeloid differentiation dataset..
