The Broad Institute and Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation have a long-standing and fundamental commitment to public access to nucleic acid sequences and associated annotation and metadata. Following completion of the DNA sequencing, assembly, and annotation activities at the Broad Institute genomic and associated metadata will be released to the Community Cyberinfrastructure for Advanced Marine Microbial Research and Analysis (CAMERA). CAMERA will manage data release to collaborating labs and the general public. In accordance with the GBMF data release policies, research groups submitting samples to this initiative will have exclusive access to the sequence and the annotation for a period of six months. Following this embargo period, data will be publicly available through CAMERA and NCBI.
