The following features have been added to this release:

5/3/2006

The sequences for the Plasmodium falciparum HB3 mitochondrion and apicoplast sequences have been posted, making them available for downloading and searching via BLAST. The mitochondrial and apicoplast genomes can be located under in GenBank Accession Numbers DQ642845 and DQ642846, respectively.

3/20/2006

We removed from the assembly a small set of contigs that were too short to be accepted at NCBI.

2/20/2006

The initial release of our 10.11 (8.07X Q>20)X sequence assembly of the Plasmodium falciparum HB3 assembly. The sequences have been deposited at NCBI with accession AANS01000000. The sequence traces from the Broad Institute sequencing can be downloaded from the NCBI trace repository.
