6/9/2010    Release of our annotation on version 3 of the assembly of C. cinerea okayama7#130

This reannotation of the C. cinerea genome benefits from removal of unplaced contigs with redundant sequence, and additional manual curation. A file mapping annotations between this version and the previous genbank release may be downloaded here, and a file mapping annotations to our previous web release may be downloaded here. You may also download these files, as well as sequence data and a draft kinome, here.

6/9/2010    Updated Release of the C. cinerea okayama7#130 sequence assembly

Release version AACS02000000 was improved by removal of 27 unplaced contigs with redundant sequence. Supercontigs 3.1 - 3.13 correspond with chromosomes 1 - 13 and supercontigs 3.14 - 3.67 correspond with unplaced sequence.

1/21/2009    Release of our annotation of C. cinereus okayama7#130

This reannotation of the C. cinerea genome benefits from a chromosomal assembly, improved protocols for filtering repeats and false positives, and a five-fold increase in the number of EST-derived reference genes.

1/21/2009    Updated Release of C. cinereus okayama7#130 sequence assembly

This Whole Genome Shotgun project was initially deposited at DDBJ/EMBL/GenBank under the project accession AACS00000000. Updated version 2, AACS02000000, is a chromosomal assembly provided by Patricia Pukkila at University of North Carolina, and coworkers. The new assembly of the 36 Mb C. cinerea genome consists of thirteen chromosomes and 81 unplaced contigs (n50 = 3.47 Mb) compared with 431 contigs (n50 = 0.22 Mb) for the old assembly, and a single 42 Kb mitochondrial chromosome. The sequence traces from the Broad Institute sequencing can be downloaded from the NCBI trace repository.
