Mycobacterium tuberculosis Reference Strains Database

Project Description

Understanding the interaction of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with the host immune system is necessary for vaccine development, and knowledge of drug resistance mutations and mechanisms is essential for both clinical diagnostic tools and development of new and more effective anti-TB drugs.

The project goal is to complete a fully finished sequence for M. tuberculosis H37Rv CSU and the Erdman_WHO strains to replace the prior reference sequences.
