Sequencing Facts

  • Greater than 10X sequencing coverage of the genome
  • 141 contigs longer than 2 kb in 141 supercontigs (1 contig per supercontig)

In Sequence Release 6 all but 37 of the original 674 sequence gaps have been closed. These remaining gaps are represented by a sequence of 50 N's in the contigs above.

Supercontig/Contig Numbering

  • Supercontig and contig numbers are preceded by the version of the assembly. For example, 'Contig 6.25' refers to contig number 25 within release 6.
  • Supercontigs are numbered in order of decreasing length. For example, supercontig 6.1 is the largest with 1.8 Mb, and supercontig 6.141 is the smallest with 3 kb.

  • Contigs within supercontigs are ordered positionally. In this release, all supercontigs have only one contig.
