Display data on the genome by opening the dataset in the Integrative Genomics Viewer (IGV).
How it works: Select a data set. Display it in the Integrative Genomics Viewer (IGV).
When IGV starts, it displays displays several windows:
- For the web start launch window, select Open with Java TM; Web Start Launcher and click OK.
- If the application certificate message appears, click Trust to continue.
- If the application signature message appears, click Run to continue.
Results: IGV is a high-performance visualization tool for interactive exploration of large, integrated datasets. It zooms easily from whole genome to base-level resolution. Displaying the data on the genome can reveal patterns in the data that lead to additional questions and hypotheses.
If you are new to IGV, see the IGV Quick Start for a 10-minute introduction.
